PURENIT – what is it and why is it becoming so popular in construction?
Purenit is a material based on rigid polyurethane foam and recycled materials. Its characteristics allow it to be used in many places in construction, where other materials reach their limits.
It is distinguished by a number of unique properties that make it an ideal material for many applications:
Thermal insulation – Purenit has a low thermal conductivity coefficient (λD 0.083 – 0.088 W/(m*K)), which makes it a good thermal insulator.
Mechanical strength – This material is characterized by high compressive strength (≥ 7.1 MPa), which allows it to be used in structures exposed to high loads.
Resistance to moisture and chemicals – Purenit is resistant to moisture, mold, solvents and acids, making it ideal for use in difficult environmental conditions.
Dimensional stability – This material retains its properties in a wide temperature range from -50°C to +100°C, and for short periods even up to +250°C.
Thanks to its unique properties, Purenit is used in many areas of construction work:
As foundation/support elements for windows and doors,
Wherever a material resistant to compression and thermally warm should be used, e.g. for the installation of balustrades on insulated terraces, installation of roof skylights,
As supporting elements for anchoring structures in the wall, when it is necessary to provide a distance for wall insulation, e.g. mounting a winter garden or pergola in the wall version,
When it is necessary to change the size of the opening, e.g. lowering the lintel (then a lintel box can be made) or narrowing it,
As elements facilitating the sealing and finishing of the junction between aluminum facades and the supporting structure of the building,
For the construction of flat roof parapets instead of heavy concrete structures.
The growing popularity of Purenit is also due to the fact that it is a material made largely from post-production waste of PIR boards, which will become increasingly important in the current EU regulations regarding the use of recycled materials.
Windoormatic, as a direct distributor of this material, is the manufacturer of all the above-mentioned solutions for Purenit elements. Having in stock boards of various thicknesses, from 15 mm to 60 mm, it is able to implement various projects in accordance with the individual needs of customers, while maintaining short lead times:
Construction of dedicated foundations for window, sliding and door systems indicated by the client,
Preparation of Purenit beams with unusual dimensions and shapes,
Delivery of entire Purenit slabs.
The offer is complemented by assembly materials that Windoormatic delivers together with the above-mentioned elements.
